Our clinic wouldn't be what it is today without these amazing, experienced and caring people on staff.
Meet our team and find out a little more about each and everyone us below.
Our patients have come to know Ginnie over the last three decades as one of the friendly faces in our front office. She helps patients navigate scheduling, financial arrangements, and the handling of insurance processing. She is fiercely loyal to our patients and has earned their trust time and time again.
Ginnie can be found staying active when she isn't at work. She loves her chocolate lab, Abby, who loves to take Ginnie out for long walks. Ginnie, Abby and her husband call Puyallup home.
If having to see the dentist is causing someone to frown, they soon find that frown turning upside down once Michelle brights up their day. Michelle has been brightening up our patient's days and building long-lasting, genuine relationships with every person who comes through our doors. Michelle has worked at our clinic for over 27 years and she feels like family to so many of our patients.
When not at the clinic, Michelle and her husband enjoy spending time with their family and 3 dogs!
Ali is a dental assistant who has specialized in periodontics since 1979. As one of the very first employees at this clinic, having worked for 3 periodontists since she began here, our patients have a deep trust in her experienced and caring hands. She studied dental assisting at Bates Technical College, having graduated in 1978. She is committed to working alongside Dr. Haynes to provide the very best care to each and every patient she cares for.
Ali and her husband have 2 sons and 2 grandchildren with whom they enjoy regular lake vacations and trying out new recipes. And, like everyone else at the clinic, you won't find Ali without her dogs by her side! She has an Australian Cattle Dog named Addy and a Carin Terrier named Tuffy.
Karla started working at our clinic in 1991 and the first periodontist was her trainer. She loves the family atmosphere of Auburn Periodontics and Implantology which has kept her committed to continue practicing her profession as part of our team over the last 27 years. Her goal is to help patients feel the same way when they come to us for care. She finds it rewarding to have shared so many experiences with so many patients who come to feel at ease in our clinic.
When she isn't at work, Karla enjoys being a wife, mother, and especially a grandmother to 8 grandkids! She stays busy on her mini-farm in Enumclaw with her two horses, Cooper and Abby, her Boxer dog, Brandi, her cat, Harley, and her "few" chickens. She loves working out, hiking, and traveling. Life is good in Karla's world!
Sara attended Shoreline Community College and Seattle Pacific University, and she has been a dental hygienist for over 27 years. She has been charming patients and her fellow teammates at Auburn Periodontics and Implantology since 2016 and she hasn't looked back! She values patient comfort and providing them with the highest quality cleanings, and finds herself at home in a team of professionals with a primary goal being patient comfort and helping them through what often is an anxious part of their healthcare routine.
Sara has a natural curiosity about the world around her, which keeps her busy reading and exploring new ideas and theories about both the fringe and mundane. She scrapbooks, stamps, and enjoys time with her family. Sara and her husband share their home with their sassy dog named Chippy!
Tyler Haynes, MSW, CPHQ
After growing up in the Tacoma area and graduating from the University of Washington, Tyler began his career at the University of Washington - first in public health research at Harborview Medical Center, then as Clinical Quality Improvement Manager at the University of Washington Medical Center. He wears many hats here and is rarely seen doing the same thing from one day to the next, so never be afraid to sit down for a chat with him!
He is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) by the National Association on Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) and he has a Master of Social Work and Bachelors in Social Welfare from the University of Washington School of Social Work. He is a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Health Sciences from the A. T. Still University College of Graduate Health Studies.
Tyler lives in Dash Point, a neighborhood in Northeast Tacoma, with his husband, Dr. Joseph Haynes. When not at the clinic, Tyler enjoys spending time with his spouse and 5 dogs - hiking, running, and exploring all that is great and beautiful in the Pacific Northwest.
Jeannine attended Washington State University and completed her training as a dental hygienist at Clark College. Prior to attending Clark College to pursue a career in dental hygiene, Jeannine worked as a dental assistant. She first started working at Auburn Periodontics and Implantology in 1981 when it was opened under the first owner/periodontist and she has worked here under the supervision of three different periodontists since then (with the exception of a one year stint working as a hygienist in Switzerland!). She loves working here so much that she plans on staying part of the team for the foreseeable future.
Jeannine has been married for 35 years and she has two daughters. While she waits for future Grandkids, she is looking forward to staying at Auburn Periodontics and Implantology as a dental hygienist before setting off into retirement in the sunset!
Karlee has been a dental assistant since 2003. Her priority as Dr. Haynes' assistant is making sure our patients feel comfortable and calm during their time with us. In addition to working in our Auburn clinic, Karlee volunteers with Dr. Haynes at the Christ Community Free Clinic in Auburn - a clinic that offers medical and dental services to our communities most vulnerable and financially-needy members. She says that "Dr. Haynes is a fantastic periodontist to with; I enjoy working with him and our team every single day".
Karlee enjoys traveling with family, camping, riding quads, going off-road, and watching her sons grow up. She has two chocolate labs named Max and Daisy.
